Deck refinishing in Kettering Ohio. The client called us out to check the deck to see what could be done. The deck was heavily covered in algae in some area so we gave it a good pressure washing to better asses the wood itself. The deck appeared self maintained by the previous home owner using a semi transparent Baja Beige, but do to poor application the look was mismatched and blotchy. In addition, the length of time between the deck staining applications was to long and had allowed the decks wood to dry out completely and was beginning to show damage from sun and water infiltration. We allowed it to dry and came back the next day to put 2 coats of solid stain in Baja Beige. We took some before, during and after photos to show the staining process, but also the difference a proper staining can make looks and protection wise.
